Focus On Parker: Dennis Niewoehner by Search Parker Magazine
A true steward of a community is someone who leaves their community a better place than when they found it. Dennis Niewoehner is just such a person. As a long time area resident, Dennis has helped Parker grow and prosper through his community leadership and business savvy. He has been involved with the Town government and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Parker Adventist Hospital and Colorado Capital Bank.
Dennis' impact on the community of Parker is great and far reaching. One of the most visible effects Dennis has made is the Cherry Creek trail system. His vision to provide a lasting impact on the recreation trails in Parker is evident by the fact that the very first foot of concrete trail poured in Parker was because of him. He helped bring together all the private and public land owners to connect the trail through Parker. This was in addition to his personal donation of 38 acres of land to the Town of Parker for open space.
After years of helping the local community, Dennis has now ventured out to help a new group, the Baby Boomers. He has just finished his book "The Transition - Winning the 4th Quarter of Life" and it is now available nationally. This book is essential reading for anyone getting ready to retire. It is the only tool on the market that addresses the point of transition, as well as providing financial, tax, estate, and health/wellness advice. "The Transition" is currently available online at www.TheTransitionBook.com.
The next time you are enjoying our beautiful Colorado weather while taking a stroll along Cherry Creek Trail, don’t forget to think of Dennis and his legacy to our community.
